Emma is a 2019 senior from Otsego High School and is also a dancer who performs with Patti Herm School of Dance. When we started planning her session, she knew she wanted the variety of an urban location and a nature setting.

Our first spot was in downtown Kalamazoo, and it had just enough urban feel with some unique backgrounds. I love how her soft and feminine outfit contrasts with the rusty barbed wire fence. This might have been on of my favorite outfits of the season!

This painted green wall had such fabulous texture and even matched her pants. We had a lot of laughs during her "walking" photos!

It's no secret that I love to capture genuine laughter during my senior sessions. We have a lot of fun, and I want you to remember the laughs too. There is something about a laugh that brings out your real personality. Your family and friends will be able to hear you laugh just by looking at the photo.

I always love capturing any type of activity that you love to do, but my heart is especially happy when one of your activities is dance. Emma knew from our first meeting what she wanted to wear for the dance portion - simple black and white with her pointe shoes. This flowy white skirt was a blast to play with and "choreograph". You wouldn't know it from the images, but Emma had an injury during her session. We successfully created a variety of dance images while avoiding her injury. Emma's favorite images were the dance portraits. "You really made my strengths shine!"

Congrats to this Otsego senior and wish her the best with her future plans! She is off to Grand Valley State University to study social work. She will do amazing things!
