Meet Graham, a 2019 senior who plays his trumpet with the Portage Central Marching Band. For Graham's senior session, we started in downtown Kalamazoo. Graham knew that he wanted to highlight his trumpet and love of band during his session, and the buildings downtown made an awesome background. I just love how the texture of the brick walls add to the images. A photo in front of the sundial seemed fitting as he is between his 12th year in high school and his 1st year in college.

When I asked him to pick his favorite image from his senior session, he chose this one on the left. How did I know he would pick one with his trumpet? I love how the blue shirt pops of the orange-red color of the wall.

Next, we headed to Milham Park to get a completely different feel for his senior pictures, and I love how the golden sun just warms everything up!

Another fun aspect of Milham Park is the various bridges throughout the park. Stones bridges, metal bridges, and wood bridges make interesting backdrops for senior pictures. And of course, we had to include his trumpet at the park too! I am torn on my favorite picture of Graham but I think it is between the crouching on on the bottom right - such a natural smile - or the one sitting on the steps below. He just looks so relaxed and ready to conquer the future.

Graham is going to Purdue next year to study Computer Engineering. Go Boilermakers!

I feel like it is time to make another fun video of my favorite music-themed portraits. Take a look at an old video I created celebrating the arts in your senior pictures - including music, dance, and film. For the Love of Arts
