Meet Jasmine, a Kalamazoo Christian senior! We shot her session in downtown Kalamazoo then headed over to Milham Park for the second half. She ended up with some fun urban shot and some gorgeous park images. I am in love with how her outfit worked so perfectly with the amazing flowers! Jasmine, it was a joy to do your session!
What are your plans for next year? I am going to MSU for the 2016/2017 year. I am going to major in zoology with a concentration in marine biology. I plan on transferring to the University of Michigan or the University of Miami after two years.
What activities did you participate in during high school?
I did quiz bowl for the later three years of high school. I was the team captain of the varsity team. I participated in the TEAMS competition junior and senior year where I was the team captain. I am in the Spanish Club. I did volleyball for the first two years of high school. I am in the NHS. I have done pep band and marching band for all four years of high school. I played the role of Cecco the pirate in Peter Pan the Musical my junior year.
I went on a trip to Guatemala and Belize with the Spanish Club two years ago. This summer, I will be going with them to Costa Rica.
What are your favorite memories from high school?
I have two favorite memories since I could not pick one! My favorite memory in high school is cliche, but it is senior prom. The whole process of getting ready and taking pictures was the best. I barely danced because my boyfriend and I were waiting for a drawing of a caricature, but we did slow dance in the line!. My friend almost choked on a mint and I messed up almost all the photos, but all these things made it so memorable. Another favorite memory from high school, but not in the actual building, was in Belize on the Spanish trip. We were snorkeling in the ocean above a beautiful reef. I saw creatures I had previously only seen in pictures. This experience affirmed my desire to become a marine biologist in the future.
What is your favorite BASeniors photo?
My favorite BASeniors photo is the one attached. I knew it was my favorite from the moment I saw it! I just love the swooshy hair and picturesque professionality.
